1. Who we are

Shanghai Hengchang Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (上海衡畅电子科技有限公司), Room 134, Building 5, No. 236 Puwei Highway, Shanyang Town, Jinshan District, Shanghai, China, is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. We manufacture and supply fiber optic patch cords, USB Type-C connectors and OEM cable assemblies.

2. What we collect

Information you give us: your name, company name, country, e-mail address, telephone or messaging number, and the content of your enquiry, sample request or order. If you send us a drawing, specification or test report, we receive that file as well.

Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed and the time of the visit. This is produced by our web server and by the analytics tool described in section 4.

We do not ask for, and do not want to receive, special categories of data such as health, biometric, political or religious information. Please do not include them in an enquiry.

3. Why we use it and on what legal basis

To answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation: necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

To perform a contract with you, including production, shipping documents and after-sales support: necessary for the performance of that contract.

To keep commercial records required by accounting, tax and export law: necessary for compliance with a legal obligation.

To improve the website and keep it secure, through aggregated statistics and abuse prevention: our legitimate interest in running a working, safe website.

To send commercial information about our products where you have asked for it or where the law allows it: consent, or our legitimate interest in business-to-business communication, whichever applies in your jurisdiction. You can object at any time.

4. Cookies and analytics

The site stores your language choice in your browser so that the next visit opens in the same language. That setting stays on your device.

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which pages are read. It is configured with IP anonymisation and without advertising features; the reports we read are aggregated.

Where the law requires consent before analytics cookies are set, they are only set after you agree. You can refuse, and you can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings.

We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels on this site.

5. Who we share it with

Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) stores the site and its access logs; our e-mail provider transmits and stores correspondence; our analytics provider processes visit statistics. Each of them acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement.

Freight forwarders, customs brokers and carriers receive the data needed to ship an order: consignee name, address, telephone and the commercial documents.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

We may disclose data where a court, customs authority or other competent body requires it.

6. International transfers and retention

Our servers and service providers may process data outside your country. Where data leaves the European Economic Area we rely on an appropriate transfer mechanism, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Enquiry records are kept while the enquiry or the resulting business relationship is active, and afterwards only for as long as accounting, tax and export law requires. Marketing contacts are removed when you object, or when they have been inactive for the period set in our retention schedule, whichever comes first.

7. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it or restrict its use, object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and ask for it in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out.

If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully you can complain to the data protection authority of your country or of our establishment.

8. Changes

This notice was last updated on 21 October 2026. If we change how we handle personal data we update this page and change the date above.
